Is this better than using a spreadsheet?
For many makers, yes. Spreadsheets are fine when you are only tracking a few materials or one product. They start to feel shaky when material costs change, recipes branch into variations, and pricing math has to stay connected to inventory. Crafting Cookbook keeps pantry details, recipes, and pricing tied together so you are not rebuilding the same formulas in multiple places.
Can I use Crafting Cookbook without signing in?
Yes. You can explore the studio and work locally in your browser without signing in. If you create an account, your pantry, recipes, and workspace details can sync to the cloud.
What does the pantry track?
The pantry is where you keep your materials, components, and supplies together in one place. It stores quantities, on-hand amounts, and cost details so your recipes and pricing stay grounded in real inventory.
How does recipe pricing work?
Each recipe can include materials, waste, labor, packaging, fees, shipping subsidy, and overhead. Crafting Cookbook then helps you see make cost, pricing targets, and profit more clearly before you list or sell a product.
Will recipe costs update when supply costs change?
Yes. When you update pantry cost details or log new purchases, Crafting Cookbook recalculates the material side of your recipe so your pricing picture can change with current costs instead of stale ones.
Can I track multiple products or product variations?
Yes. You can save multiple recipes, reopen them later, and duplicate them when you want to create a new variation without starting from scratch.
Can I see what I can make from what is on hand?
Yes. The studio uses your pantry quantities to estimate how many units of the current recipe you can make from the stock you already have available.
What happens if I use the site without signing in?
Your work can still be saved locally in your browser so it survives refreshes on that device. Signing in adds cloud sync so your workspace is not limited to just one browser.
